Junior Tri Camp
Experience a fun, non-competitive introduction to triathlon!
Whether you've got a little athlete in the family or are looking for a fun summer camp for keeping your kids active, our 2-week (4 training sessions) Junior Tri Camp is the perfect fit! This is also a great camp to prep your kids for Splash, Spin, Dash!
Youth ages 6 through 10 years old.
August 14th-23rd, 2018 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 8:30-11:00am
Day 1 - Swim/Bike: Please bring all swim and bike related equipment (helmets are a must!). First half will focus on getting used to the water (+ some fun swim games), and second half will introduce the bike, discuss bike basics, and introduce swim-bike transitions.
Day 2 - Swim/Run: Please bring all swim and run related gear. First half will continue swim training with essential skills for swimming in the open water. Second half will focus on learning proper run form though creative games and endurance exercises.
Day 3 - Bike/Run: Please bring your bike, running legs, and be ready for a BRICK (Bike, Run, ICK!). First half will focus on introducing you to the second transition, learning to run after biking (helmets required!) Second half will focus on practicing the fast finish and other enjoyable skills for race day.
Day 4 - Swim/Bike/Run: It's Mini-Tri Day! We will put it all together and practice linking the swim, bike, and run PLUS the first and second transitions.
